After serving as a General Manager for a number of hotels Canada, Oberlander was recruited by Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. After that, Oberlander went on to head up two mid-sized hotel groups. First, as President and Chief Operating Officer of Delta Hotels & Resorts in Toronto. Afterwards, he joined Cunard Hotels & Resorts Inc. as Managing Director out of New York City where he led an international hotel operation with seven luxury properties in the UK, USA and Caribbean. Under his management consultant leadership, core property gross operating profit rose by 75%. Therefore, he was able to unlock additional value by converting unused land at resort properties into second-home development projects.
